By the end of what was a slog of a Monday Night Football game, the early incompletion from Jordan Love to Christian Watson had pretty much been forgotten.
But the moment was circulating on social media among Green Bay Packers fans. And Watson noticed.
Early in the game, Watson went deep, and Love lofted a ball out there for him.
In coverage was talented second-year cornerback Quinyon Mitchell for the Philadelphia Eagles. And it appeared Watson thought he had been overthrown.
Instead of making a play on the football, Watson went to get in Mitchell's way, as if to break up an interception.
And then the pass hit Watson in the helmet. It wasn't overthrown at all.

Watson, after the game, saw that post on X.
He chimed in.

More and more these days, players engage with fans on social platforms. It's a place where they often catch a lot of flak and hatred.
But Watson was obviously bumming when he looked back at this play, and he felt the Packers' fanbase deserved to know that he knew he had messed up. It's very honorable of him.
