After a disappointing end to the 2025 season, the Green Bay Packers are now turning their attention to the offseason.

With the Packers having made a decision on head coach Matt LaFleur and general manager Brian Gutekunst, the next order of business will be making decisions on Green Bay's pending free agents.

One of the most important ones is linebacker Quay Walker, who Pro Football and Sports Network's Ryan Guthrie predicts will leave Green Bay for the Miami Dolphins.

"Quay Walker’s size-speed combination is tailor-made for today’s NFL. He can cover, run, and handle contact in the box," he writes. "With Jeff Hafley now the head coach in Miami and Green Bay declining Walker’s fifth-year option, this reunion makes sense. Walker fits perfectly in a defense that needs athletic linebackers."

Other than returning to Green Bay, Miami is the most logical destination for Walker, who Spotrac projects will land a three-year, $29 million deal in free agency.

That's because not only did the Dolphins hire former Packers executive Jon-Eric Sullivan as their general manager, they also hired former Green Bay defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley as the head coach.

Hafley was very high on Walker during the season, with the former Packers defensive play-caller saying Walker was playing at "an elite level."

“I think Quay is playing at an elite level right now,” Hafley said of Walker this past season. “His communication, the way he's calling things out, the way he's studying the game, the way he's practicing, his leadership on our team, to me, is at a whole different level on the field and off the field."

“Then you see what he's able to do in the run game, and then last week, when he had an opportunity to go 1-on-1 with some of those backs and really do a nice job on the pressures," he added. "I think he's taken a step, and I believe there's more room."

That certainly sounds like a coach who wouldn't mind making Walker part of his new defense in Miami.

If Walker does join Miami and can continue playing at a high level, a one-two punch of he and Jordyn Brooks might be one of the best in the NFL.
