Josh Jacobs injury update gives Packers running back optimistic outlook image

The Green Bay Packers lost running back Josh Jacobs to injury in the Week 11 win over the New York Giants.

Jacobs suffered a knee injury that forced his early exit. Luckily, the Packers got a good performance from backup Emmanuel Wilson and were able to secure the victory.

Following the game, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that Jacobs has avoided a serious injury, but he still has to undergo more tests to determine the severity of his knee injury.

"Packers RB Josh Jacobs will undergo more tests Monday on his left knee, but the initial belief is he avoided a significant injury, per sources. Jacobs returned briefly after jamming his knee into the MetLife turf before leaving for good. There’s optimism he’ll be back soon," Pelissero reported.

So, it's clear that Jacobs is going to miss time, but how much time remains to be seen.

We should get an update on Jacobs' status on Monday, but if not the next the latest we'll get our next update on the Packers running back will be on Wednesday, when the Packers drop their first Week 12 injury report.
