We have an update on Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs, who exited the Week 11 game against the New York Giants early due to a knee injury.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Jacobs' knee is "structurally sound" and he is considered day to day.

Rapoport adds that Jacobs could miss the Week 12 contest against the Minnesota Vikings, though.

"Packers standout RB Josh Jacobs’ knee is structurally sound and no surgery is needed, per me and Tom Pelissero," Rapoport reported. "He’s considered day-to-day, but could miss the game against the Vikings."

This is certainly good news for the Packers, who could ill-afford to be without one of their best offensive players. If Jacobs does miss Sunday's contest against the Vikings, it'll be the first game he has sat out since joining Green Bay.

Through 10 games, Jacobs has tallied 648 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns to go with 28 receptions for 237 yards. The veteran back had a sensational first season with Green Bay in 2024, when he ripped off nearly 1,700 scrimmage yards, including a whopping 1,329 rushing yards and 15 scores.

If Jacobs doesn't play, Emmanuel Wilson will get the nod as the starter. Wilson carried the rock 11 times for 40 yards and scored a touchdown on Sunday and has proven to be a solid backup when called upon.

The Packers also have Chris Brooks on the 53-man roster and Pierre Strong Jr. On the practice squad. Strong will likely be elevated this weekend if Jacobs doesn't play.

If head coach Matt Lafleur doesn't provide an update on Jacobs the next time he addresses the media, the next time we'll get more information on Jacobs will likely come on Wednesday, when the Packers drop their first injury report of the week.
