Josh Jacobs' expected workload revealed after latest Week 16 injury update image

The Green Bay Packers are going to have veteran running back Josh Jacobs active for the Week 16 game against the Chicago Bears.

Jacobs entered the weekend as questionable to play after he didn't practice all week due to ankle and knee injuries.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Jacobs is going to play on Saturday night, but he is expected to be on a "pitch count," which means his snaps and workload are going to be limited.

"Packers RB Josh Jacobs will be active tonight against the Bears, per sources," the NFL Network insider reported. "He was on a pitch count last week and probably will be again tonight. But he’s playing."

Josh Jacobs fantasy advice

As Pelissero notes, Jacobs had a limited workload last week but still had 14 touches and played 36 snaps, finishing with 92 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown.

Knowing that, we wouldn't be too concerned with Jacobs being on a "pitch count."

We're still firing up Jacobs in fantasy football lineups.

As for Jacobs' backup, Emanuel Wilson, one would assume a "pitch count" for Jacobs would mean more work for Wilson, but he only had two carries last week and saw only 13 snaps.

As a result, it's still a no go for Wilson in Week 16.
