The Green Bay Packers will be without starting running back Josh Jacobs for at least the rest of their Week 11 matchup versus the New York Giants. 

The primary running back sustained a knee injury during the initial half. It appeared he was tackled forcefully out of bounds and subsequently received attention in the medical tent. Jacobs did re-enter the game for a play near the goal line, but was deemed short of the endzone. Following that play, he was escorted to the locker room and later declared out with a knee injury.

What happened to Josh Jacobs?

The precise timing of Jacobs' knee injury remains unclear. The Packers' running back sustained the injury while running along the sideline and was tackled as he went out of bounds. He appeared to land forcefully on the ground, but he later rejoined the game following a period in the medical tent.

Jacobs ran the ball from the goal line, appearing to score, but was declared down. Following the play, Jacobs exited the game and headed to the locker room.

He was initially listed as questionable, but was then officially ruled out coming out of halftime. 

How long is Josh Jacobs out?

Wilson is currently in his third year with The Packers. He played college football at smaller institutions, concluding his collegiate career at Fort Valley State in 2022. Wilson was not selected in the 2023 NFL Draft and originally joined the Denver Broncos' practice squad in 2023. After his release, Green Bay signed him.

Wilson's playing time has been limited in recent seasons, yet he participated in every game during the 2025 season. He accumulated 103 rushes for 502 yards and scored four touchdowns. Following Jacobs's injury, Wilson scored on an 11-yard run against the Giants. 

Chris Brooks

Brooks concluded his college football tenure at BYU in 2022 and was not selected in the 2023 NFL Draft. He played during the 2023 season with the Miami Dolphins prior to joining Green Bay for the 2024 season.

Brooks has played in 33 career games and has 291 yards and a touchdown on 57 carries. 

MarShawn Lloyd

Lloyd was a highly regarded college player from South Carolina, though injuries hampered his progression. Following a transfer to USC for his concluding season, he was selected in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft by The Packers.
