The Green Bay Packers will be making a very surprising move on their offensive line for their Week 4 contest against the Dallas Cowboys. While the heavy focus will be on Micah Parsons and his return to Dallas, it's the other side of the ball that could set the Packers at a disadvantage.

Packers right tackle Zach Tom likely out vs. Cowboys

Right tackle Zach Tom is not expected to play against the Cowboys. per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.

"Tom reinjured his oblique -- the same problem that kept him out of Week 2 -- on the first play of Sunday's Week 3 loss at the Cleveland Browns and did not return," Demovsky writes. "A source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Tom is not expected to play this week and that, with the Packers on their bye the following week, they will reassess his status for Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals after some time off."

Per Demovsky, Tom initially suffered the injury to his oblique in Week 1 against the Detroit Lions, which caused him to be inactive for Green Bay's Week 2 Thursday night matchup against the Washington Commanders. Demovsky also adds that it was a big surprise that Tom was active for Week 3.

"It was somewhat of a surprise Tom was active against the Browns, which, in hindsight, coach Matt LaFleur said was a mistake," Demovsky writes. "However, LaFleur said Monday that Tom did not make the injury worse but was not able to continue.

Not having Tom in the lineup will certainly be a big plus for the Cowboys, whose pass rush has been nonexistent this season after trading Parsons. Per Next Gen Stats, opposing quarterbacks have an average of 2.96 seconds to throw, which is the sixth-most time in the NFL."

It will come down to rookie second-round pick Anthony Belton or Darian Kinnard to step in for Tom.
