With just hours to go before kickoff of the Week 16 game versus the Chicago Bears, the status of Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs remains uncertain.
Jacobs is dealing with ankle and knee injuries that led to him not practicing during the week and drawing the questionable tag on Thursday.
While that's not great news, we've seen Jacobs play with little or no practice before. He also said he expects to play during the week.
“For me, it’s harder to watch games than it is to play hurt,” Jacobs said.
If Jacobs doesn't suit up on Saturday night, the Packers will deploy running back Emanuel Wilson as their lead rusher against the Bears.
But will that be enough to put Wilson is fantasy football lineups in Week 16? Here's what we think.
Emanuel Wilson start or sit advice
The last time he filled in for an injured Jacobs, Wilson was a rock star.
He tallied 28 carries for 107 yards and two scores while also adding two catches for 18 yards in Week 12, ranking as RB3 overall that week.
The Bears have been fairly stingy against the run, ceding the 13th-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs, but this isn't a scary matchup by any means.
Volume alone is enough to warrant putting Wilson in lineups this week, and the matchup gives us even more optimism for him.
Verdict: Start (only if Jacobs is inactive)
