The Green Bay Packers are hoping to have their No. 1 wide receiver, Christian Watson, available for the Week 16 game against the Chicago Bears.

Watson suffered a chest/shoulder injury in Week 15 that forced his early exit from the contest and led to him going on the injury report in Week 16.

However, Watson was able to log a pair of limited practices to close out the week before drawing a questionable tag for Saturday night.

On Saturday, the Packers did not make any roster moves. Here's what that means for Watson.

Christian Watson injury update

The Packers did not make any roster moves on Saturday, which is a good sign that Watson is going to play. If the Packers were concerned about Watson's ability to suit up, they likely would have elevated a wide receiver.

The expectation going into Saturday was that Watson would play after he basically said as much during the week, so these moves only help reinforce that.

“I’ll probably just have something in my pads for game day just to be cautious," he said. "Honestly, it’s feeling pretty good for everything considered, so I think it’ll be all right for the game."

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Saturday that Watson "should be good to go."

We'll get final confirmation on Watson's status an hour and a half before the 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff, as that's when the Packers' inactives will be released.
