It was a rough day for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, as not only did they lose to the Denver Broncos, the Packers also saw some key players suffer injuries.

One of those players was wide receiver Christian Watson, who went down with a shoulder injury after Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain landed on him.

While it looked serious at first with Watson clearly in a lot of pain, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Packers wideout has avoided a serious injury.

"Packers standout WR Christian Watson, who went down yesterday holding his shoulder, did not suffer a major injury, sources say," Rapoport reported.

Rapoport did not go into detail when it comes to how much time Watson will miss, if any, but the good news is it isn't a season-ending issue and Green Bay should have him for the playoffs, at least, assuming the team gets there.

Watson's injury came on the same day the Packers lost linebacker Micah Parsons for the season. Parsons is feared to have suffered a torn ACL, but tests will confirm that on Monday.

Watson has had issues staying healthy during his career, but there's no doubt he's a major difference-maker when on the field, something we've seen since his return.

Watson has only appeared in eight games, yet he is third on the team in receiving yards behind fellow wideout Romeo Doubs and tight end Tucker Kraft.

We'll see how much of an update head coach Matt LaFleur provides when he next addresses the media, but the latest we'll get an update on Watson will come when Green Bay drops its first injury report of the week.
