That week, the Lions scored 44 points, and Campbell has kept the playsheet since.

Dan Campbell assumed offensive playcalling responsibilities for what reason?
Dan Campbell felt the Lions needed to shake things up to get the offense rolling.
After the Week 10 win in which Campbell called plays, he explained.
"It was just, let's try something a little different," Campbell said.

The Lions' former offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson, is now the Chicago Bears' head coach.
That means Detroit had to turn to a new guy, in this case, Morton.
By the season's halfway point, Campbell aimed to assess his own capabilities in that position, a role he'd previously occupied.
If the Lions' offense continues to perform this well, nobody will dispute Campbell's strategy whatsoever.
So far, it's working as well as the head coach could've imagined.
