Who do the Lions play on Thanksgiving? Detroit's schedule for Week 13 has big NFC North impact image

The NFL Thanksgiving slate this season is fantastic.

The Detroit Lions, as usual, will be the team that opens the action up.

Detroit will be pretty worn out from their overtime game Sunday against the New York Giants and Jameis Winston. But it's always fun to play on the holiday, so the Lions will surely be ready to go.

Who do the Lions play on Thanksgiving?

The Lions take on the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving.

The game will kick off at 1 p.m. ET (12 noon CT).

The Packers picked up a convincing win Sunday over the Minnesota Vikings. Green Bay is in a stretch of three consecutive AFC North games.

Detroit didn't expect to be in such a crazy game Sunday leading into Thanksgiving, but Winston had other ideas.

The Lions got a massive day from Jahmyr Gibbs, who will have to rest up to get another big workload on Thanksgiving Day.

The NFC North still has plenty to play for. The Lions and Packers are both trying to keep up with the currently potent Chicago Bears.

The stretch run will be fun, and Thanksgiving is going to get it started.
