The Detroit Lions sat idly by watching other teams make picks in the fourth and fifth rounds on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL draft after not having selections in those rounds following some trades.
However, the Lions did manage to make a trade up with the New England Patriots that got them back into the fifth round. The deal saw the Lions give up pick Nos. 182 (sixth round) and 228 (seventh round) for pick No. 171.
And, with that selection, the Lions drafted LSU guard Miles Frazier, who is the second guard the Lions have taken in this year's draft. Detroit selected Georgia offensive lineman Tate Rutledge in the second round on Friday night.
The Lions are clearly loading up on the interior of their offensive line, and for good reason.
Graham Glasgow had a down season in 2024 and Kevin Zeitler left in free agency, which initially left a competition between Christian Mahogany and Kayode Awosika for a starting job. Now, Detroit has a few more competitors.
With the trade with the Patriots, here's a look at the Lions' updated list of remaining 2025 NFL draft picks.
