The Detroit Lions are in danger of not having their No. 1 wide receiver available for the Week 14 game against the Dallas Cowboys, as Amon-Ra St. Brown is dealing with an injury.

St. Brown sustained a low-ankle sprain in the Week 13 loss to the Green Bay Packers that forced his early exit from the contest.

The Lions wide receiver didn't practice before getting the questionable tag on Wednesday, which leaves the door at least slightly open for him to play.

Here's what we know about St. Brown's status for the Thursday night game versus the Cowboys.

Is Amon-Ra St. Brown playing tonight?

We don't have a definitive answer on St. Brown's status, but based on everything we know, it would appear he's a true game-time decision.

The fact St. Brown didn't practice at all this week is not a good sign, but clearly the Lions haven't lost hope for his chances of suiting up after giving St. Brown the questionable designation.

We also know St. Brown is the type of player who doesn't need to practice to play, and he has only missed two games during his career, so playing through an injury isn't something new for him.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport called St. Brown's issue a "one to two week injury" and added that "it seems a little quick for him" to play, but Rapoport didn't say St. Brown would sit out.

St. Brown himself wouldn't commit to playing when asked about his injury this week, but he did say his ankle has been feeling better every day.

"It hurts, but it's getting better. So, that's the good news. Just day by day," he said Tuesday, according to ESPN's Eric Woodyard. "Just trying to make sure I'm out there for my guys."

"Every day it's gotten better, so I hope that it continues to get better these next few days," St. Brown added.

"I know this, if he can play, he'll play," Lions head coach Dan Campbell said of St. Brown. "That's the best way to say it."

Hopefully we get a confirmation on his status sooner rather than later, but we'll know by around 6:45 p.m. ET for sure, when the inactives are released.

Amon-Ra St. Brown fantasy advice

St. Brown enters this week ranked as WR6 overall in fantasy points per game, so he has to be in your lineup if active. It'll be risky, but St. Brown is just too good to ever leave on the bench.

As far as possible replacements on the Lions' roster are concerned, the only one we would even consider for fantasy lineups is rookie wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa, who stands to have a bigger role if St. Brown is sidelined.

And, lest we forget, fellow wide receiver Kalif Raymond and tight end Sam LaPorta are also out, which should further help TeSlaa's workload.

TeSlaa only has six catches for 100 yards this season, but three of those catches have gone for touchdowns, so he could be a key end-zone target, also.

Despite all that, it's hard to have complete confidence in a rookie who hasn't done much overall this season.

TeSlaa is on the flex radar, but we're only starting him in desperate situations and he should still take a back seat to anyone on your roster who has been more consistent and reliable this season.
