Amon-Ra St. Brown injury update: Lions WR's status revealed in Week 14 inactives image

The Detroit Lions have released their list of inactives for the Week 14 contest against the Dallas Cowboys and we now know if wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown will play.

The list of inactives DOES NOT include St. Brown, which means he is officially ACTIVE and playing on Thursday night versus the Cowboys.

We actually received confirmation before the inactives were released, though, as St. Brown gave ESPN's Jeremy Fowler a thumbs up while exiting the field after pre-game warm-ups.

"Walking off, Amon-Ra St. Brown gave me the thumbs up that he is indeed playing tonight. Did everything in warmups," Fowler wrote.

This is massive news for the Lions, who could ill-afford not to have their No. 1 pass-catcher on the field for what is a crucial game for Detroit.

The Lions enter Week 14 on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoff race.

Detroit is sitting in third place in the NFC North and in the No. 8 spot in the conference, which is one spot out of a postseason position.

If the Lions win on Thursday night, they will remain in the No. 8 spot and will also move one game closer to the teams in front of them.

If the Lions lose, they will drop to the No. 10 spot in the conference, with the Cowboys and Carolina Panthers both jumping them.

The Cowboys will move in front of Detroit thanks to a superior win percentage, while the Panthers move up thanks to a better conference record.

No matter the result of Thursday night, the Lions will remain in third place in the NFC North.
