The Denver Broncos haven't had the services of star cornerback Pat Surtain II since Week 8.
Surtain has missed the last three games as he works his way back from a pectoral injury. Prior to the bye, Surtain didn't practice at all before being ruled out.
As we head into Week 13, here's what we know about Surtain's chances of suiting up on Sunday against the Washington Commanders.
Will Pat Surtain II return in Week 13?
There is no definitive answer to this question yet.
When asked about Surtain's status for Week 13 on Monday, head coach Sean Payton declined to offer an update.
“I would never get into that on a Monday," Payton said of Surtain's status. "I appreciate the question, though.”
“Yes," Payton said when asked if he was pleased with Surtain's progress. "I wouldn’t get into anything injury-related, but I appreciate the question.”
Based on the fact that Surtain wasn't placed on injured reserve, it's fair to think that the Broncos didn't expect him to miss four games.
Seeing as how Surtain has missed three thus far, it's fair to believe he will make it back this week.
With Payton giving us nothing on Monday, the next update we'll get on Surtain will come on Wednesday, when the Broncos release their first injury report of the week.
