Javonte Williams' Denver Broncos career started with so much promise.
But eventually, injuries stifled the young running back's chances of succeeding with the team that drafted him.
That led Williams to free agency this past offseason, and he chose to sign with the Dallas Cowboys.
It all comes full circle on Sunday when the Broncos and Cowboys match up in Week 8 of the 2025 NFL season.
Williams has been a strong RB so far for Dallas, while the Broncos have used J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey in a backfield combo this season.

Why did Javonte Williams leave Broncos for Cowboys?
The Broncos decided that Williams wasn't worth signing to a new contract after his rookie deal expired.
A knee injury had lowered his productivity, and the Broncos didn't want to give Williams the money he might've been looking for.
Denver instead signed the aforementioned free agent Dobbins and drafted Harvey in the second round.
Dallas was a happy beneficiary. The Cowboys themselves had let a talented RB, Rico Dowdle, leave for the Panthers.
That left Dallas looking for a starter, and they signed Williams
According to the Cowboys' official website, Williams' decision to part with the Broncos was "mutual."
He has also downplayed the Week 8 matchup.
"I feel like it's just another championship opportunity," Williams told the Cowboys' website. "We treat every game the same. Great team, great defense, great offense. We've just got to go out and execute… I'm just going to go out there and play my game, do what I've got to do, and try to make plays for my teammates."
