The Denver Broncos are facing off against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16, and with it being a home game with a chance to cement themselves atop the AFC, the Broncos-Jaguars matchup is a huge one.

The 12-2 Broncos welcome the 10-4 Jaguars, and with a win, the Broncos would not only take control of the AFC West but also the AFC as a whole.

As Zac Stevens of DNVR shared ahead of this matchup, Broncos head coach Sean Payton is urging the fans in attendance for one thing on Sunday. Payton has a specific time for fans to get loud, and it's for a good reason.

Sean Payton urges Broncos fans for one thing on Sunday

"Sean Payton urged fans once again to have the crowd noise peak when the opposing team is IN THE HUDDLE." Stevens shared. "He doesn't want it to peak when the opposing team is at the line of scrimmage. Said 'it's very difficult' for opposing QBs and offenses."

Payton is calling on the Broncos fanbase in attendance to cheer when Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars are on the field, but not when they're already lined up, ready to snap the ball.

Instead, Payton is calling for the fans to get loud when the Jaguars are trying to make the playcall while in the huddle. This is a smart ask from Payton, and for a good reason.

Most teams have practiced their silent count to snap the ball without being able to hear each other. But, when it comes to a playcall being made, there's no other way than to talk with the other players on the field.

If the crowd noise is impacting the playcall coming onto the field and Lawrence relaying it to the offense, then the Broncos defense will have even more of an advantage.

It's an interesting addendum to the typical fan behavior. Most fans will try to cheer before the snap to draw a false start. But now, Payton is calling on the fans to make the playcall itself messed up.

Denver is sure to be rocking on Sunday afternoon, and if Payton gets his wish, they'll be at their loudest when the Jaguars offense is on the field trying to make a playcall in the huddle.
