Ladies and gentlemen, it's RJ Harvey time.

Drafted in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft, Harvey has been playing as the second fiddle to veteran running back J.K. Dobbins through the first half of the season.

But that will no longer be the case, as NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero report that Dobbins' foot injury is significant enough that he could land on injured reserve.

He will, at the very least, be out in Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

"Broncos RB JK Dobbins will be out on Sunday vs the Chiefs with a significant foot injury and is believed to be out for the foreseeable future, per me and Tom Pelissero," Rapoport reported on Friday. "Dobbins is still working through options, and while there’s no final determination, IR remains a possibility."

It was very clear early in the week that Dobbins was likely to sit out, as he failed to put in a single practice over the first few days.

In that span, Harvey received ringing endorsements from quarterback Bo Nix and head coach Sean Payton, who believes Harvey is capable of handling a big workload.

"Obviously, he’ll have more opportunities here in this game," Payton said of his role. "He’s built, when you see his frame, he’s built to last, and that’s important.”

"Honestly, the more carries he gets, probably the better he’ll be," Nix said of his running back.

Harvey has only seen 50 carries this season behind Dobbins, but he has shown plenty of flashes of being an explosive playmaker, with long runs of 40 and 50 yards and one 27-yard reception.

Overall, Harvey has averaged 4.3 yards per carry and seven yards per reception.

Harvey is going to be carrying the load for the Broncos as long as Dobbins is out and, as a result, we're going to find out a lot more about him in the weeks ahead.

For our fantasy football folks out there, Harvey is a must-start player moving forward.
