The AFC's No. 1 seed is still up for grabs.
Entering Sunday, the Denver Broncos hold the edge on the New England Patriots for that spot, which features a first-round bye along with home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
The Broncos and Patriots are both 13-3, though. So the difference is because of a tiebreaker.
And that tiebreaker? It all has to do with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Why are the Broncos ahead of the Patriots?
The tiebreaker between the two teams for the No. 1 seed in the AFC is common opponents.
Remarkably, the Broncos and Pats share just one common foe: the Raiders.
The Patriots played the Raiders in Week 1, and lost.
The Broncos swept their season series with Vegas.
Thus, Denver has a 2-0 record against common opponents, while the Patriots' mark is 0-1.
That's the reason that Denver would hold the AFC's No. 1 seed over the Patriots if both win on Sunday.
