Denver Broncos' veteran finally gets recognition he deserves as one of league's best image

The NFL announced its full Pro Bowl roster on Tuesday and the Denver Broncos have six players selected to the squad. That tied with the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens for the most in the league

The Broncos have had a tremendous season and it is great to see these players getting rewarded for their hard work. But perhaps the name that should bring the biggest smile to the face of Broncos Country is that of left tackle Garett Bolles. The 2017 first-round pick has made his first Pro Bowl.

That is huge for Bolles, who is finally being recognized as one of the best blind-side protectors in the league. It's well deserved, as he is also the team's nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, so this has been a memorable year for the 33-year old.

In his ninth NFL season, Bolles has started in 131 games for the Broncos. He is prepared to make his second consecutive playoff appearance with the team after missing the postseason in each of his first seven seasons in the league.

Bolles was one of four Broncos to be selected as a Pro Bowl starter.

Pat Surtain II joined Steve Atwater and Von Miller as the only Broncos to make the Pro Bowl in four of their first five years in the league. Coincidentally, those are two of the best defensive players in team history, a group Surtain is well on his way to joining.

Quinn Meinerz, who was selected as a First-team All-Pro last season and was not selected to the Pro Bowl, earned his first selection this year. Meinerz was later invited last season as an alternate but turned it down.

Zach Allen earned the first selection of his career and Nik Bonitto was chosen for the second year in a row. Allen and Bonitto are two of the anchors of the defense and could be in line for this honor for several years to come.

Finally, Courtland Sutton was selected for the second time in his career, but the first since 2019. It's a huge honor for Sutton to earn that recognition, as his consistent body of work has made him one of the more reliable wide receivers in the league. Earlier this season, he moved into fifth place on the team's all-time receiving yardage list, surpassing Ed McCaffrey.
