The NFL regular season is here and with it comes plenty of fun for NFL fans.

Fantasy football is a massive industry and millions of fans worldwide have at least one fantasy team, some having multiple. But there are several other contests that fans play in, usually trying to win some extra cash from their friends or people on the internet.

One of the many contests that has become popular over the years is a survivor pool. Over on ESPN, they call it the Eliminator Challenge. The rules of this contest are simple. You form a group and each week, each player picks one team that they think is going to win their game. That's all. If that team wins, that player advances to the next week. If that team loses, that player is eliminated.

The catch is, once you have picked a team and they win their game, that team is ineligible to be used by you again that season. That's the challenge.

The hardest pick might be Week 1. It's a new season and there are many uncertainties. Looking at the slate for Week 1, it's hard to consider any team a sure thing to win and if you're playing with money on the line, you don't want to go out in Week 1.

The Denver Broncos could be the most popular pick of Week 1. Playing at home against the Tennessee Titans, last year's worst team, the Broncos should be a big favorite to get the job done. They will also be going against a rookie quarterback in Cam Ward and with the many different looks he may see from Vance Joseph's defense, it could be a rough debut for him.

If you want to make it through Week 1 in your Survivor pool, the Broncos may be your best bet. The downside to that for those within Broncos Country is that you will have to go the rest of the season without picking them.
