Denver Broncos have veteran wide receiver options available, have already taken a look at one image

The Denver Broncos could use a veteran option in the passing game and many fans inside Broncos Country have been calling for one all season.

The Broncos have Courtland Sutton, but the general feeling of many is that the team needs another experienced player for Bo Nix to throw the ball to during the stretch run and into the postseason. On Monday, the Broncos visited with wide receiver Elijah Moore, who was recently released by the Buffalo Bills

That release came on the heels of the Bills signing veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks, a player many felt seemed like a perfect fit for Denver, but the team reportedly had no interest in signing him

Moore was a second-round pick of the New York Jets in 2021 and has also had a stint with the Cleveland Browns in addition to playing in Buffalo. For his career, Moore has 209 receptions for 2,274 yards and nine touchdowns. There could be plenty to work with there, as he is still only 25 years old.

If the Broncos choose not to offer a deal to Moore, another veteran option became available on Monday when the Minnesota Vikings granted Adam Thielen's request to allow him to pursue a better opportunity. Thielen is a savvy 12-year veteran who has 693 career catches for 8,380 yards and 64 touchdowns.

He may be 35 years old, but he can still get open and provide a guy like Nix a trusted option to throw the ball to. It would make a ton of sense for the Broncos to sign him to a deal for the rest of the season.

It remains to be seen if the Broncos sign either Moore or Thielen, but the option is there for them to make a move. It's likely that either player would start on the team's practice squad, where the team already has three other wide receivers, with the intention of elevating them to the gameday roster at some point soon.
