The Denver Broncos have added another running back to the mix, but it's not the big signing that many fans envisioned when J.K. Dobbins went down with a foot injury.
Instead, the Broncos have signed Sincere McCormick to their practice squad. It remains to be seen who the team will release from their practice squad to make room for him, but that player could be diminutive running back Deuce Vaughn.
Undrafted out of the University of Texas-San Antonio in 2022, McCormick has already spent time with three teams, mostly the Las Vegas Raiders. He played in five games for the Raiders last season, rushing for 183 yards on 39 carries. He also caught six passes for 29 yards.
After being waived by the Raiders following the preseason this summer, he signed with the San Francisco 49ers. After a little more than two months on their practice squad, he was released and signed to the practice squad of the Arizona Cardinals, where he spent about two weeks. The Broncos will be his fourth team this year.
Denver got a huge performance from RJ Harvey against the Raiders on Sunday, hopefully shutting down many concerns the team had about its running game without Dobbins. But the depth behind Harvey is thin with Jaleel McLaughlin and Tyler Badie, so the Broncos are looking to bolster the group as much as they can in the late stages of the season.

The Broncos were interested in signing Dameon Pierce after he was released by the Houston Texans, but he chose to join the Kansas City Chiefs instead. It will be interesting to see if McCormick gets into any games for the team this season. He is a little bit bigger back than McLaughlin and Badie and could get a look for that reason alone.
