The Denver Broncos had the luxury of watching Wild Card weekend on their TV screens, waiting to see who they would play. That answer became clear after the No. 6-seeded Buffalo Bills rallied to take out the No. 3-seeded Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

That means that the Bills will be coming to Empower Field at Mile High on Saturday.

Broncos Country is going to be confident heading into that game, but honest fans will admit that the Bills are probably the last team they wanted to see on the other side of the field. There is one huge reason why this Bills team presents a huge challenge to the 14-3 Broncos.

Josh Allen.

And not just Josh Allen the player, but the fact that the Bills, who have been chasing a Super Bowl forever and have gotten so close so many times, have perhaps the best shot they have had in Allen's career thus far.

This playoff field is void of Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow. Allen knows that if he doesn't get through the AFC this year, he is going to face a heavy round of criticism. He's not going to go down without a serious fight.

Against the Jaguars, Allen left the field and headed into the blue tent after having players land on his head following a Jacksonville sack. Later, he smashed his finger on his own teammate's helmet on a throw. Shortly thereafter, his knee was turned in a terrible direction following a touchdown run.

All three of these plays looked like they could result in serious injuries for Allen, but he didn't miss a snap. We must also remember that he was hobbled by a foot injury toward the end of the season.

The Broncos have one of the league's defenses, and that defense is going to have to get after Allen in this game. But knowing that many out there believe that this is the best chance the Bills may ever get to finally hoist the Lombardi Trophy, expect him to give supreme effort on every play.

Allen is winning without a lot of offensive weapons, particularly in the passing game, but each week, he seems to will his team to victory and that will be expected in this game.

The Broncos are going to have to get up for this game physically, obviously, but they will need to get up for it emotionally as well, and that may be just as important.

Fans around the league and those in the media are going to expect Allen to put on Superman's cape this Saturday. The Broncos need to deliver his kryptonite.
