With a playoff run on the rise, the Broncos may have to begin their search for another defensive coordinator before their first postseason, with the interest Vance Joseph is drawing from teams as a potential next head coach.

The Broncos' defense has been the team's strong suit all season, carrying them whenever the offense has struggled, leading the league with 68 sacks while ranking in the top five overall.

Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph had a huge hand in that success and has rightfully been rewarded with multiple interviews for various head coaching openings.

Joseph is scheduled to interview with the Baltimore Ravens

Late Wednesday night, it was confirmed that Joseph would be interviewing with the Ravens after the franchise fired Super Bowl champion John Harbaugh after 18 seasons.

The news makes it his sixth team. He will interview for about 10 current head coaching positions; at the time, there were seven open, but that has recently increased to eight with the Miami Dolphins' surprise firing of Mike McDaniel. Joseph could be a great candidate to turn the franchise around.

If hired by any NFL team, it would be Joseph's second stint as a head coach, after his first with the Broncos, which lasted only two seasons from 2017-18, before being brought back as the team's defensive coordinator in a role he has served for Denver the last three seasons.

With more experience and the teams available having a very talented roster, if given a chance this go around, Joseph will have a tremendous opportunity to prove he has what it takes to lead a team to success, and you can expect the defense to be a big part of that, wherever he lands.
