Broncos' J.K. Dobbins shares emotional message after brutal injury news image

The Denver Broncos got some brutal news after their Week 10 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Running back J.K. Dobbins was ruled out for Week 11 with a foot injury, and then it was reported that he's going on injured reserve.

Dobbins landing on IR means he's forced to miss the next four weeks, putting the earliest he could return as Week 16. What it also means is that Dobbins, who has dealt with injuries his entire career, is seeing another season cut short due to an unfortunate injury.

Despite this brutal injury history, Dobbins has fought back and remains positive. He shared a message with Broncos fans and the NFL world after going on injured reserve, and it was an emotional, heartfelt message.

"For those who will count me out again..." Dobbins posted on Twitter/X, "Thank you. For those who are with me on this ride... Stick with me! You will love what God has planned next."

Due to Dobbins missing a lot of time throughout his NFL career, there have been plenty of doubters about his future in the NFL.

After playing in 15 games his rookie season with the Baltimore Ravens in 2020, he missed the entire 2021 season, then played only eight games in 2022, and then just one in 2023.

After playing in just nine games with the Ravens in three years, Dobbins left in free agency, joining the Los Angeles Chargers. His 2024 was the best of his career, as he played in 13 games, recording career-highs in rushing yards (905) and touchdowns (9).

Through 10 games with the Broncos in 2025, he had 772 rushing yards and four touchdowns. His 77.2 yards per game was the best of his career, and he was one of the main cogs of the Denver offense.

But his Week 10 injury was an unlucky and brutal one for the star running back to sustain. Dobbins is likely going to need surgery on his foot, which would knock him out for the rest of the season.

He could wind up returning in the Super Bowl if the Broncos get there, but there's no guarantee he's coming back in 2025. Dobbins is having another year cut short, further implicating that he's an injury-prone back.

However, while he's dealt with a lot of injuries in his career, they aren't due to Dobbins being injury-prone. He's just gotten incredibly unlucky.

That's why his message, calling out his doubters and urging his supporters to stick with him, is such an emotional one. Few players have been as unlucky as Dobbins when it comes to injuries, and this is another tough setback.
