The Denver Broncos are 8-2, and with their final matchup before their Week 12 bye coming against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Broncos can make their mark in the AFC West with a Week 11 win.

But, they'll have to do so without running back J.K. Dobbins. Signed after the NFL draft, Dobbins has emerged as a focal point on the offense. But, after suffering a foot injury in Week 10, he's now expected to miss some time.

But, as NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reports, the Broncos running back isn't just going to miss a week. Dobbins is going to miss time for the "foreseeable future."

J.K. Dobbins to miss multiple weeks with foot injury

"Broncos RB JK Dobbins will be out on Sunday vs the Chiefs with a significant foot injury," Rapoport reports, "and is believed to be out for the foreseeable future."

Earlier in the week, there was a report that Dobbins could land on injured reserve. While he will miss Week 11, and could miss Week 13 and 14, there's no guarantee that Dobbins is going to be out for anything beyond due to landing on injured reserve.

But, with it being a possibility, and the wording of a "significant" foot injury causing Dobbins to be out for the "foreseeable future," it's clear that this isn't a simple foot sprain.

So far this season, before getting dealt this brutal injury against the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday Night Football, Dobbins had 153 attempts for 772 yards and four touchdowns on the year.

It was his most productive season on a per-game basis. He had 77.2 yards per game on the ground, by far the best of his NFL career.

Now, he's going to miss an extended period of time. RJ Harvey, Jaleel McLaughlin, and Tyler Badie will take over the backfield in his absence.

It's a brutal and unfortunate injury for Dobbins, who was having a career year in Denver. His season isn't over, but the road to recovery doesn't seem easy based on this report from Rapoport.
