The Denver Broncos pulled off an incredible win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday night, one that required a terrific defensive play from Nik Bonitto on the last play of the game to get the job done.

The win improved the Broncos' record to 10-2 and at this point, it's clear they are a Super Bowl contender this year.

The team has an incredible defense, even if it allowed 26 points to the Commanders. Bonitto is one of the league's best edge rushers, Zach Allen has become a force up front and Pat Surtain II, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, is the best defensive back in the league. The core is terrific, but the supporting cast is also fantastic.

From Alex Singleton to Ja'Quan McMillian to an underrated Riley Moss, the defense is a championship-caliber unit that is going to keep the Broncos in every game. But what about the offense?

Can the Denver Broncos win it all with this offense?

The Broncos made plays when they had to on Sunday night, something that has become a theme for this season. But why does it take the offense, one led by Sean Payton, so long to get going?

Bo Nix still makes ill-advised throws and Payton seems to call much of the game quite conservatively for him in order to protect against errors. The rushing attack averaged less than four yards per carry against Washington and the loss of J.K. Dobbins is one that can't be overlooked.

Only 12 of Nix's 29 completions went to wide receivers and aside from Courtland Sutton, none of the receivers on the roster can be fully trusted just yet. These are the reasons why many fans wanted the team to add another pass catcher before the trade deadline.

It is encouraging that the team keeps finding ways to win, as it did in games against the Eagles, Jets, Giants, Texans, Raiders, Chiefs and now, the Commanders. Those were all one-score games that could have resulted in defeat. However, it's fair to question how long that can continue.

Defense wins championships, but the Broncos are going to have to find more offense once the postseason rolls around. Does Payton's group have enough pieces to make that happen or will one of the league's more complete teams make them pay for being too one-dimensional?
