The Denver Broncos have assembled one of the best defenses in the league but the team isn't being taken too seriously as a Super Bowl contender because the general feeling is that the team lacks offense. Of course, Sean Payton and his crew plan to have plenty to say about that before the season is over.
But the Broncos do need to create a more explosive offense and if they can do that while this defense is playing at the level that it is, it will be a very tough team to go against.
We have already taken a look at some players the team should take a strong look at in free agency this offseason and now, it's time to focus on some of the players that could be available to them in the draft.
Denver Broncos 2026 NFL Draft offensive targets
Kaytron Allen, RB, Penn State
The fit of Kaytron Allen in Sean Payton's offense is discussed at length here, but if you're getting the all-time leading rusher in the history of Penn State, you are getting a special player.
What the Broncos do at the running back position in the draft, if anything at all, depends heavily on whether or not they decide to bring J.K. Dobbins back. Dobbins has missed the last several weeks after injuring his foot in Week 10 and his loss left a glaring hole on the running back depth chart.
The Broncos are going to ride RJ Harvey as far as they can this season, but there is no doubt that the team needs more depth behind him if it doesn't bring Harvey back. Allen would be a tremendous pick to pair with Harvey in the offensive backfield.
Denzel Boston, WR, Washington
The Broncos need a consistent gamebreaker in the passing game. As good as Courtland Sutton is, he doesn't bring that to the table. Carnell Tate would be another great option for the team but he could be taken high in the first round.
Denzel Boston could be a first-round pick as well, but a player with his size (6-foot-4) and athletic ability has to be looked at closely. Boston has already been mocked to the Broncos, so some already see it as a good fit for the team. Putting his big body in the lineup with the shifty and speedy Marvin Mims Jr. And Troy Franklin could give the Broncos a perfect mix in their wide receiving corps.
Eli Stowers, TE, Vanderbilt
Eli Stowers is an interesting prospect as he started his college career as a quarterback. But after playing at Texas A&M and New Mexico State, he transferred to Vanderbilt, where he has been the past two seasons.
He has 111 catches for 1,406 yards and nine touchdowns in that time, becoming one of the more reliable tight ends in the country. He has legitimate 4.5 speed and can win against linebackers due to his quickness and defensive backs due to his size. He's more like a big wide receiver than a tight end, similar to a player already on the team, Evan Engram.
Stowers won't add much as a blocker, but the Broncos can get that out of other players on the roster. Stowers could be a perfect understudy to Engram, ready to take over when the Broncos move on from him.
Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas
The Beroncos could consider adding a future offensive tackle in this draft, especially if the team decides to cut bait with Mike McGlinchey in the offseason, looking to save money against the salary cap.
Trevor Goosby is only a sophomore at Texas, but he has a terrific NFL ceiling.
Goosby is only 20 years old and he is 6-foot-7 and 315 pounds. He plays with tremendous awareness of the position for a young player, shows great play strength and his long arms allow him to win in his one-on-one matchups consistently.

Goosby became the Longhorns' starting left tackle this season and he showed himself to be a future star. Broncos fans will love the player comparison that Bleacher Report's Scouting Department made for him as well.
