During the first half of the Week 15 game between the Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones was spotted using a walkie talkie from the owner's box.
After seeing that, many were wondering what Jones was doing with the walkie talkie, with some even thinking there might be a nefarious reason behind it.
However, that is not the case, as one Cowboys beat writer pointed out.
Why Cowboys' Stephen Jones was using walkie talkie
According to Jon Machota of The Athletic, Jones uses the walkie talkie to get injury updates from the sideline.
"To clarify: The walkie talkie is for injury updates from the sideline," Machota wrote.
So, there you have it. Jones is just trying to stay on top of the team's injuries, of which the Cowboys had a few in the first half.
Running back Javonte Williams suffered a shoulder injury and was questionable to return, and offensive lineman Tyler Smith is dealing with an eye injury.
Both players managed to return to the game, though.
