Video reveals Cowboys QB Dak Prescott spit first in Jalen Carter ejection incident for Eagles image

Jalen Carter spit right in Dak Prescott's face.

But that followed Prescott spitting in Carter's direction.

During Thursday's second half of Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles, NBC showed video of what preceded the Carter spit incident that got him ejected before he played a defensive snap.

Carter had trickled toward the Dallas huddle, and Prescott stepped toward him and spit toward his feet.

Here's the footage:

It makes sense that something had upset Carter before he took matters into his own saliva.

It was simple to assume that Prescott had just said something rude to Carter.

But if Carter had first felt that Prescott was spitting toward him, that would explain what happened more clearly.

The Carter ejection changed the game. Dallas went to its running game with new guy Javonte Williams early and often, and he scored the Cowboys' first two touchdowns in his team debut.

It'll be interesting to see if Carter gets more punishment, and also if Prescott gets postgame punishment.

There'll also surely be plenty of questions of the two stars whenever they appear in front of the media.

For now, it's a layered story, that's for sure.
