The Dallas Cowboys have a question mark going into their Week 16 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, as running back Javonte Williams is dealing with a shoulder injury.
Williams suffered the injury in Week 15 and was clearly battling through it during the game. He was added to the injury report this week, as expected, and has only been able to log limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday.
After practice on Thursday, Williams addressed the media and shed light on his injury and his chances of suiting up in Week 16.
Javonte Williams injury update
Williams told reporters that he's dealing with a stinger in his shoulder, but he did note that the feeling in the area has returned and he expects to play on Sunday afternoon.
“I had a stinger in my shoulder. The feeling and everything has come back, so I should be good," Williams said, per The Athletic's Jon Machota.
The fact that Williams was able to practice at all over the first two days is a good sign that he's going to play. We would be much more concerned for him if he was not able to take part.
The Cowboys will release their final injury report of the week on Friday, and while it's possible he'll draw a questionable tag, we fully expect Williams to suit up.
