It's fitting that Dak Prescott could break another Cowboys' record against NFC East rival image

TL;DR

  • Dak Prescott needs 160 passing yards against Eagles to break Tony Romo's franchise record.
  • Prescott is humbled by the milestone and thankful to be healthy for the game.
  • He has a strong record against NFC East rivals, including the Philadelphia Eagles.
  • Prescott already holds Cowboys records for completion percentage, completions, and passer rating.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott needs just 160 passing yards against the Philadelphia Eagles (8-2) on Sunday to pass Tony Romo for the most passing yards in franchise history. Prescott was limited in practice on Wednesday, but will make his Week 12 start in what promises to be another classic between the two teams.

“I’m humbled,” Prescott said about reaching the milestone, according to NBC Sports via the Associated Press. “Thankful to be healthy and to be in this position to do it. I was on the production call, and they asked me the same thing: Would I have thought this 10 years ago? And I said, ‘Yeah, I was very arrogant as a rookie.’

"It's definitely something to be shared. I'm just a product of a lot of great players... When you play a long time and you play with the standard and the expectations that I have, you should accomplish these type of things."

Dak Prescott has been a force in the NFC East

Dak Prescott has made a reputation of carving up his division rivals, so having this opportunity against the defending Super Bowl champions is almost a perfect scenario. Since entering the NFL in 2016, the Mississippi State product has a career mark of 35-9 against the NFC East (a winning percentage of.795), and a 66.5% completion percentage.

The Cowboys' QB, with a career record of 9-5 against Philly in regular-season and playoff matchups, should easily surpass the franchise mark even with a current 4-5-1 record, potentially leading his team to a win in this significant game.

Entering his 10th season, Prescott has already established team records for career completion percentage (67.1), career completions (3,033), and career passer rating (98.5).
