The Dallas Cowboys have just about the longest-shot playoff odds remaining in the NFL.

They aren't officially eliminated. But man, it'll be tough.

And really, there's only one team the Cowboys care about anymore: The NFC East-leading Philadelphia Eagles.

Dallas only has one path to the playoffs, and it involves Philly.

The Eagles play a day ahead of time in Week 16, taking on the Washington Commanders on Saturday evening.

What Cowboys need to happen in Eagles-Commanders

The Cowboys have to root for the Eagles to lose.

The only scenario in which Dallas sneaks into the playoffs is if Philadelphia loses each of its final three games and the Cowboys win each of their final three.

The odds of that are quite low, especially considering the Eagles play the 4-10 Commanders twice in this stretch.

It's the only play on the board, though.

There is no wild card hope left for the Cowboys. The rest of the NFC is much too good for that.

The Cowboys are rooting for the Commanders this week, and in Week 18, along with the Bills in Week 17. And then Dallas has to take care of all three of its games, too, starting with the Chargers on Sunday.
