There is a mystery surrounding Dallas Cowboys wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens on Monday night.
Pickens and Lamb were both absent for the Cowboys' entire first series of the Week 11 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, which finished after a three-and-out.
Here's what we know about the two Cowboys wide receivers sitting out on the opening drive.
Did Cowboys bench CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens?
According to the ESPN broadcast, Pickens and Lamb sitting on the first drive of Monday night's game was a coach's decision.
When asked if they are being punished, the ESPN source said we'll have to wait until after the game for an exact answer for that.
ESPN announcer and former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman hinted that the reason behind their brief benching might have to do with effort issues, but that hasn't been confirmed as of this writing.
We'll see if head coach Brian Schottenheimer explains the reason behind Lamb and Pickens not playing to start the game.
