Cowboys superstar has shot at significant 'bounce-back' image

The Dallas Cowboys had a tough 2024 season full of injuries.

It wasn't their year and Dallas wasn't able to live up to expectations. There were plenty of injuries across the roster, but the one that arguably had the biggest impact was to quarterback Dak Prescott. Dallas goes how Prescott does. The Cowboys won the NFC East in 2023 but weren't a playoff team in 2024 with Prescott missing significant time.

He only was able to play in eight games last year but seemingly is trending in the right direction now. Unsurprisingly, Pro Football Focus' Dalton Wasserman called him the Cowboys biggest "bounce-back" candidate for the 2025 season.

"Dallas Cowboys: QB Dak Prescott," Wasserman said. "A bounce-back from Dak Prescott could signal a return to the postseason for Dallas in 2025. After earning a career-high 90.0 PFF grade and finishing second in NFL MVP voting in 2023, Prescott followed it up with a career-worst 67.2 passing grade last season. The Cowboys’ lack of offensive balance and wide receiver depth played a role, but Prescott also posted a career-high 4.7 percent turnover-worthy play rate. With improved health and the additions of Tyler Booker and George Pickens, Prescott will have every opportunity to return to form in 2025."

Dallas has had a solid offseason so far with its biggest outside addition being wide receiver George Pickens. The Cowboys have a chance to right the ship immediately in 2025 and get back in the conversation with the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders, but it all depends on Prescott's health.
