TL;DR
- Jameson Williams of the Detroit Lions was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct after hugging the goal post.
- George Pickens of the Dallas Cowboys also received a penalty for hugging the goal post after a touchdown.
- The penalties occurred in consecutive nationally televised games, less than 24 hours apart.
Jameson Williams just did this. The Detroit Lions' WR ran and hugged the goal post base on Sunday night after scoring a touchdown, and he was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.
About 24 hours later, George Pickens followed suit.
Pickens achieved a remarkable touchdown for the Dallas Cowboys during Monday Night Football's matchup against the Raiders. He managed to break free from a tackle and evade several other defenders.
And then he leaped up to hug the base of the goalposts.
He, too, got the penalty.

ESPN's Ben Solak had the funniest tweet on the matter:
If I had to make one guess, for a million dollars, about which NFL receiver committed the identical unsportsmanlike penalty that Jameson Williams did in a nationally televised game less than 24 hours ago...I'd win a million dollars.

There's a decent chance Pickens wasn't watching the Sunday night game, of course.
He experienced a notable evening, initially sidelined for the first Dallas series with CeeDee Lamb, but then entered the game and contributed significantly.
And he got a hug in, too.
