Cowboys' George Pickens explains jersey number desires after odd No. 13 decision image

George Pickens turned heads at OTAs, but not for his play on the field.

Instead, it was for what the new Dallas Cowboys wide receiver was wearing. His jersey number was 13.

Pickens suggested afterward that it's only temporary, though.

"Nothing's really finalized right now, it's just a whole bunch of numbers," Pickens told the team website.

He went on to point out how Traeshon Holden is wearing No. 7 at OTAs even though that'll eventually be star cornerback Trevon Diggs' number.

Pickens wore No. 14 in Pittsburgh, which is currently held in Dallas by Markquese Bell.

He rocked the No. 1 at Georgia, which is Jalen Tolbert's number with the Cowboys.

Pickens may have to start fresh with the digits on his uniform, unless he feels like shelling out some cash to get one of his old numbers for himself.

The Cowboys will care less about what number Pickens wears and more about the numbers he puts up.

He caught 59 passes for 900 yards and three TDs last season in Pittsburgh. Dallas will be hoping for even a bit more as a major complement to superstar CeeDee Lamb.

Pickens will likely make whatever number he winds up with look pretty darn good.
