Cowboys drop inactive list ahead of Vikings clash with huge update on injured duo image

The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up for a huge clash on Sunday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings with the playoffs on the line.

All week at The Star, eyes were on four players to see if they would suit up against the Vikings.

CeeDee Lamb, Trevon Diggs, Jake Ferguson, and Jadeveon Clowney.

We knew that Lamb cleared concussion protocol and that Diggs wasn't activated off IR, so that leaves Ferguson, who was dealing with a calf injury, and Clowney, who was dealing with a hamstring issue.

Well, as Dallas dropped its inactives list, both Ferguson and Clowney, per Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News, are officially active for tonight's game.

Playoffs on the line for Cowboys

With the Philadelphia Eagles beating the Las Vegas Raiders 31-0 in the early window, the Cowboys know that a win over Minnesota would keep them 1.5 games behind the Eagles.

With a division title the only way Dallas can make the playoffs, if they drop this game to the Vikings, it will just about end any hopes of a playoff appearance for Brian Schottenheimer in his first year as a head coach.

Given that the Vikings are already out of playoff contention, they'll be playing the role of spoiler at AT&T Stadium.

And with Ferguson and Clowney active, Dallas has the weapons on both sides of the ball to get the win.
