You could easily make the case that over the past month, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is playing at an MVP level and perhaps even is the best quarterback in football.

In his last four games, Prescott has thrown for 1,081 yards, 13 touchdowns, zero interceptions, and hasn't had a passer rating under 124.8. That is some serious form. And to think, he's done that without CeeDee Lamb for three of those games, which makes the feat even more impressive.

But make no mistake about it, Dak knows the reasons why he is playing at such a high level right now, and he has no intention of stopping.

“A lot of things coming together,” Prescott said. “It goes back it's all the work that I've put into this, personally a lot of offseason work, to the team getting together in the spring, to the training camp and just success through these last few games is only growing the confidence.

"I know who I am. I feel great throwing the ball when you got pass catchers like those two guys [Lamb and Pickens] Turp [Turpin], [Jalen] Tolbert, Flo [Flournoy] guys that are making plays and taking advantage of their opportunities whenever they come. I'm just going to keep pushing myself to get better.”

Can Prescott continue MVP-type form?

Well, based on how the defense has played overall in the first seven weeks, Dak might have to if the Cowboys are to make it to the playoffs. Sitting at 3-3-1, Dallas is second in the NFC East and needs to keep pace with the Philadelphia Eagles, but it won't be easy.

Yes, he has so many weapons, but if the defense can't show improvement (it did vs. Washington), then Dak and Co. Will have to be nearly perfect to win games, and we saw what can happen if the defense pulls its weight on gameday.

Prescott is playing the best football of his career, and if he is to lead this team to the postseason, he's going to have to keep this form rolling for another 10 weeks.
