Dak Prescott is very close to tying a Dallas Cowboys franchise record.
If the Eagles win Saturday, Prescott will take the field Sunday knowing that the Cowboys have been officially eliminated from the playoffs. But he'll still have a shot to etch his name in the record books.
Prescott has thrown for 3,931 yards this season. That means he's 69 away from 4,000.
Tony Romo holds the Cowboys record with four 4,000-yard passing seasons. Prescott has three, so he can tie Romo up by getting those 69 more yards, according to ESPN.
The Cowboys made clear earlier this week that they plan to let Prescott play the rest of the season even if they get eliminated from the playoffs, although there's always a chance they revisit that train of thought.

All indications are that at least this week, Prescott and all his top offensive weapons (if healthy) will be out on the field.
It'll be a tricky matchup for Dallas, which is going up against a Los Angeles Chargers team that still has everything to play for. On paper, that would suggest the Chargers are much more motivated.
The Cowboys will have to find internal pride to lead them toward playing their best even if there isn't much to play for.
And at least they can get Prescott a record. It certainly shouldn't be a problem pushing him well past 4,000 yards given how close he is to the round-number milestone.
