The Dallas Cowboys are set to welcome back wide receiver CeeDee Lamb for the Week 7 game against the Washington Commanders after a three-game absence.

Lamb suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 3 and missed the previous three games, but he was able to return to practice on Wednesday and was taking part once again Thursday, albeit on a limited basis.

After practice, Lamb revealed that he could've play last week but sat out because he wanted to be 100% upon his return. Lamb also told reporters he would not be on a limited snap count.

"Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb said he could have played last week against the Panthers. He sat another week so he could be fully healthy without limitations," Clarence Hill Jr. of alldlls.com wrote. "He will not be on a pitch count against Commanders."

“I’m out there moving around, running around, being me. Happy as can be," Lamb said, per The Athletic's Jon Machota.

The fact that Lamb has been limited the first two days of the week isn't a cause for concern, as the Cowboys are likely just easing him back to work after missing so much time. We'd suspect he'll be a full-go at practice on Friday.

"Yeah, if he’s breathing, I’d feel pretty good... Honestly. Nah, I mean CeeDee knows how to play football. If he runs around and catches a pass or two, I’m good," head coach Brian Schottenheimer said of what he wants to see out of Lamb before he's cleared to play, per ESPN's Todd Archer.

“He looks great. He’s ready to go. It’s going to be fun," quarterback Dak Prescott said of his No. 1 wide receiver.

Now, it'll be interesting to see if George Pickens can stay red hot with Lamb coming back.

Pickens has tallied 359 receiving yards and four touchdowns in Lamb's absence, but targets will be tougher to come by with Dallas' alpha back.
