Cowboys' Brian Schottenheimer makes startling comment on young WR image

The 2025 season for the Dallas Cowboys hasn't seen many things go right.

But one has been George Pickens, and the other has been the development of young receiver Ryan Flournoy.

Having gone past Jalen Tolbert for the WR3 role, "Flo" has been in good form over the past few weeks, as he has taken his chance with both hands.

In the last month, Flournoy has either had 30+ receiving yards in a game or a touchdown as his chemistry with Dak Prescott continues to grow.

And for head coach Brian Schottenheimer, he had quite a bit to say about Flournoy's form this season.

“The development of that young man, he had a touchdown, he gets another one called back, that's an incredible catch, probably maybe one of the best catches I've seen in a while,” Schottenheimer said. “Just the way he's playing and the confidence he's playing with, he deserves all the great things that are coming his way, and I think he's just getting started.”

Cowboys hoping for positive end to poor season

The Cowboys were officially eliminated with three weeks to go, and that isn't what anyone in the organization planned for.

But with two games left against the Washington Commanders and New York Giants, there is a chance for Dallas to finish the season on a positive note with an 8-8-1 record and move into the offseason with something to grasp onto.

Granted, wins over the two lowly NFC East teams won't do much in the grand scheme of things, other than history will tell us Dallas went 5-1 in the division, but right now, it is the small wins the Cowboys want.

And on Christmas Day, they'll get the chance to get back some of those feel-good vibes.

Because right now, the franchise desperately needs it.
