The Dallas Cowboys have a huge question mark going into Week 15 thanks to an injury to wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

Lamb exited the Week 14 contest against the Detroit Lions early after suffering a concussion in the first half and was immediately ruled out.

The concussion looked to be severe, as Lamb showed the "fencing response" upon hitting the ground.

However, there is some optimism that Lamb will be able to play in Week 15 against the Minnesota Vikings in what is a must-win game for Dallas.

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Lamb is progressing in his recovery from the concussion and hasn't experienced any setbacks.

As a result, Jones gives Lamb a chance to play in Week 15.

“He’s doing a good job. He’s meeting all the thresholds that you need to meet that will get him to where he can play this week. So far he’s had no setbacks," Jones explained on 105.3 The Fan on Monday.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer shared a similar sentiment on Lamb's recovery, saying the star wideout is "doing good" and "progressing nicely."

After what we witnessed with Lamb following his hitting the ground, it would be surprising to see the veteran not miss a game.

The most notable occurrence of the "fencing response" in recent years came in 2022, when Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had that reaction following his concussion. Tagovailoa ended up missing two games.

One thing working for Lamb is the fact that the Cowboys have a mini-bye. Dallas last played on Thanksgiving, which gives Lamb three extra days to get right.

The next update on Lamb will likely come on Wednesday, when the Cowboys drop their first injury report of the week. If he can log a limited practice, it would be a great sign for his chances of playing on Sunday night.
