The Dallas Cowboys are on the brink.

The Cowboys had almost zero margin for error going into their Week 15 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

However, the Cowboys couldn't get the job done and lost, 34-26, which now drops their playoff chances even more.

Here's how the 6-7-1 Cowboys can still make the playoffs.

Can Cowboys still make the playoffs?

Yes, the Cowboys can still make the playoffs, but the wild-card is no longer an option for Dallas, even if they win the rest of their games.

Instead, the Cowboys can only make the playoffs by winning the division, and even that path is extremely bleak.

It's very simple: Dallas must win its last three games and the Eagles have to lose their last three for the Cowboys to win the division.

Any Eagles win or Cowboys loss seals the deal in the NFC East.

The Eagles play the eliminated Washington Commanders in Week 16, and will do so on Saturday, so the Cowboys might be knocked out of the division race before taking the field on Sunday.

When the Cowboys do take the field on Sunday, they'll be squaring off against the Los Angeles Chargers.
