For now, the Cleveland Browns are sticking with the other rookie.

Dillon Gabriel remains the Browns' starting QB for Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens. That means Shedeur Sanders remains on the sideline.

It's not a surprise, but it remains notable.

Sanders is the most-hyped fifth-round pick ever. The son of Deion fell from a possible first-round choice all the way to pick No. 144 to the Browns.

Cleveland had already picked Gabriel at No. 94, and the lefty remains QB1 right now.

Why isn't Shedeur Sanders playing today?

Shedeur Sanders remains the No. 2 QB on the depth chart for the Browns.

Gabriel remains the starter after Joe Flacco was traded to the Bengals.

Sanders did get a positive word from head coach Kevin Stefanski this week.

“Today, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said nothing has changed regarding Shedeur Sanders’ practice reps — not getting snaps with the starting unit as backup QB — but praised the work he’s been doing,” ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi wrote on X. ""He’s doing a really nice job, including just now coming off the field with the red zone drill that we did, so continues to work very hard, doing a nice job in meetings, doing a good job."

Sanders has seemingly done the right things on the practice field and in the building this season.

If he gets a chance soon, he'll have to prove he's ready.
