Significant injury updates for Steelers vs. Browns as Friday's practice days concluded for both clubs.

New injuries for Cleveland include rookies Harold Fannin Jr. (Tight end) and Dillon Gabriel (quarterback). Fannin is the team's leader in receptions, yards and touchdowns, while Gabriel has become backup to Shedeur Sanders after suffering a concussion in Week 11 versus Baltimore.

Several media outlets declared that Fannin suffered a groin injury during today's practice. As Sanders' favorite target, losing the first-year tight end would be a huge blow for an already thin on playmakers offense.

Nine total Browns players appeared on the injury list.

Good news for Cleveland is that Pro Bowl cornerback Denzel Ward is expected to return following a two-game hiatus from a calf injury. It's even more important for Ward to play as fringe starter Myles Harden is nursing a shoulder ailment.

The visiting Pittsburgh Steelers list of walking wounded is sizeable at 12.

T.J. Watt headlines the ailing as he continues to recover from a punctured lung. Pittsburgh clinches the AFC North if the Ravens lose to Green Bay on Saturday, and may impact whether they allow Watt to suit up.

The wide receiver position is extra thin with Calvin Austin III out, and WR1 DK Metcalf serving a suspension. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers' left wrist issue does not seem like it will hinder his starting availability.
