Travis Kelce sent a resounding message on Browns rookie Shedeur Sanders during the latest episode of his New Heights podcast, hyping up Cleveland’s newest starting quarterback to fellow Super Bowl champion and older brother Jason.

“Talk your sh**, Shedeur, let’s f***ing go. My dog goes in, gets his first start, gets his first dub. Let’s f***king go, man. The 45th starting QB for the Browns since 1994. First Browns QB to win in his first official start since 1995. Cleveland’s been waiting for this. We’ve been waiting for this,” Travis said.

Travis, a 10-time Pro-Bowler and three-time Super Bowl champ, is originally from Cleveland and played his college football for the University of Cincinnati. He and Jason didn’t hide their excitement over Sanders’ huge opportunity with the Browns.

In his first ever NFL start, Sanders led the Browns to a 24-10 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. The former Colorado football superstar will look to stay undefeated as a QB1 when his team hosts the San Francisco 49ers in a Week 13 showdown.

Cleveland started the 2025 campaign with 40-year-old veteran Joe Flacco under center before trading him and shifting to rookie third-round pick Dillon Gabriel in Week 5. The Browns had averaged a dreadful 16.2 points per game heading into Sanders’ starting debut.

Sanders displayed flashes of big-play ability and controlled Cleveland’s offense well enough to grind out an impressive victory, and his performance seemed to aid some of the Browns’ young skill players in the process.

Rookie running back Quinshon Judkins scored two touchdowns on the ground in the first quarter, and change-of-pace rookie back Dylan Sampson caught a screen pass and took it to the house for 66 yards in the fourth quarter to give Sanders his first-ever NFL touchdown.

With the support of Hall-of-Fame talents like the Kelce brothers and many other players and pundits alike, Sanders could not have more positive momentum heading into a matchup with San Francisco where he will have nothing to lose.
