Should the Browns let Shedeur Sanders start for the rest of the season? image

TL;DR

  • Cleveland Browns secured their third win, defeating the Las Vegas Raiders 24-10.
  • Rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders debuted with one touchdown and one interception.
  • ESPN's Dan Graziano advocates for Shedeur Sanders to remain the Browns' starter.
  • The Browns need to evaluate Sanders before the 2026 draft.

The Cleveland Browns picked up their third win of the season on Sunday, besting the Las Vegas Raiders 24-10.

Rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders debuted, finishing 11-for-20 with a single touchdown and a single interception.

The enthusiasm and buzz surrounding Sanders are unprecedented, making it highly unlikely that head coach Kevin Stefanski would revert to Dillon Gabriel as the starter, wouldn't you agree?

Browns advised to keep starting Shedeur Sanders

Dan Graziano agrees, advocating in his ESPN column for The Browns to keep Sanders as the starter through the rest of 2025.

"Why not? The best-case scenario with Dillon Gabriel is likely him becoming a good backup, and there's time to figure that out. But Sanders is who the fans want to see, and he didn't appear to be overwhelmed by the moment," wrote Graziano.

"The Browns have two first-round picks in the 2026 draft and need to figure out what they have at quarterback before deciding whether to pursue another long-term solution. Plus, they won Sunday, which is something they've done only three times this season."

Sanders appeared to fit right in. He maintained a composed demeanor in the pocket during the entire contest.

Should he continue to lead his squad to wins, Sanders' future with The Browns is uncertain.

Stefanski hasn't decided on a starting quarterback for The Browns' Week 13 game against the San Francisco 49ers yet, but if he chooses Gabriel, he might face public outcry.
